Thanks for thinking of us! Our St. Vincent de Paul store happily accepts clean, gently used items of seasonal clothing and working household goods six days a week. As a rule, if you are donating something because it is stained or damaged, we can not sell it. Those in need will have plenty of quality goods from which to choose and we do not have the staff to repair or launder your unwanted items.

We have a 3 bag per household, per day limit.

A limited number of paid staff are assisted by more than two dozen volunteers who sort, process and shelve donations.

What we do accept:

  • Adult Clothing, (including shoes, undergarments, and accessories)
  • Books
  • Bed and bath linen 
  • Kitchenware (silverware, dishes, pots & pans)
  • Small household appliances in NO need of repair
  • Accessories (in good condition)
  • Jewelry (in any condition)
  • Unique gifts
  • Costumes
  • Purses, wallets, make up bags
  • Videos, DVDs, CDs, LPs, etc...
  • Sporting goods, games, puzzles
  • Luggage
  • Linens unsoiled
  • Fabrics and crafts
  • Antiques and collectibles
  • Lamps
  • Pet supplies
  • Tools
  • Office supplies
  • Pictures and Frames
  • Televisions, DVD Players, VCRs, stereos

What we don't accept:

  • Children's clothing
  • Computers, printers or other computer equipment
  • Large furniture like beds, couches
  • Toys, stuffed animals
  • Off season clothing (i.e. ice skates in the summer, bathing suits in the winter)
  • Large appliances
  • Anything broken, not working, unsafe (recalled items)
  • Clothing that is torn, stained, shrunk, out-of-season
  • Out-of-season sporting goods

Charity Motors

When you donate your vehicle to Charity Motors and select "St Vincent de Paul Store, 1001 Broadway, Ann Arbor 48105", the store will receive 70% of the proceeds from the sale. A great tax deduction*. Boats and motor homes are also accepted. They will take vehicles, etc... in any condition.
